Upon being crowned VYSA Futsal State Champions on January 27, 2018, our 2009 Boys Red team automatically received an invitation to the US Futsal Northeast Regional Championships in Atlantic City, NJ. The tournament was held in February over President’s Day Weekend.
En route to capturing the Club’s 1st Futsal Regional Championship, the 2009 Boys were able to string together a 5 game win streak. During the group stage, our boys finished with 19 GF & 8 GA. The final match was played in front of several hundred spectators and proved to be an exciting and extremely competitve match, with our boys breaking the tie in the final seconds.
Congratulations to Coach Tupy and the 2009 Boys Red team!! We are extremely proud of you and know you will continue to represent the Club well.
Next up for the boys…a trip to San Jose, CA for the USFF National Championships in July 2018. The team has already started planning for the trip and have embarked on fundraising for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
