Congratulations to Izzy Whalen, our LMVSC Travel Player of the Week!

Reading the game excellently, Izzy Whalen, scored the game winner for the LMVSC Patriots 2009 Girls Red with less than 3 minutes of full time on Sunday vs FC Richmond!

All game long the two teams, FC Richmond and LMVSC 2009 Girls, battle back and forth in a tight and tough encounter.   With the score tied one to one, and little time remaining, Izzy notices her teammate, Maddie Howard, galloping down the right flank, beating defenders on the dribble, and then letting loose a thunderous strike on goal, with too much power for FC Richmond keeper to handle.  Izzy pounces on the rebound to bring the victory home in the closing minutes of the match.

According to Coach Fabien Lewis, “Izzy battled hard all game long, hungry to create and score a goal.  The goal and victory was well deserved for Izzy and her teammates.  It was definitely a great team effort.”
