Congratulations to Abigael Thibault, our LMVSC Travel Player of the Week!
Abigael put in four stellar performances all over the pitch in various positions to help her team to get into the Championship match on Monday at the 2019 OBGC Capital Cup.
According to Coach Jon Norem, “Abigael is a very intelligent, versatile competitor that willingly played wherever necessary to support the team. Her attitude and performances exemplified what it means to be a team player”
Abigael’s efforts were instrumental in leading the team in their three wins on Saturday and Sunday- only allowing one goal against in the three matches leading up to the Capital Cup Finals.
Abigael started playing soccer at LMVSC at four years old in the Mini Kickers Program before moving to the LMVSC REC Soccer Program, then the U8 Academy Program in second grade. She has been with LMVSC Travel since U9.
Abigael enjoys that soccer is not only a physical game, but also a mental game. She is looking forward to the upcoming season and working with a great coach and great teammates.
Her favorite team is the USWNT, and her favorite players are Julie Ertz and Tobin Heath.
Abigael’s younger sister, Lillian, also plays soccer for LMVSC in the 2009 age group.
She is currently a freshman at Hayfield Secondary, and her favorite class is English.
