LMVSC September 27, 2022. Former Professional Footballer and LMVSC Director of Coaching, Fabien Lewis will lead the LMVSC Travel Soccer Program.
Alexandria, VA— The Lee Mount Vernon Sports Club (LMVSC) is excited to officially announce Fabien Lewis as the LMVSC Technical Director . A native from Trinidad and Tobago and former national and professional player, Lewis brings over 16 years of coaching experience. With his passion for soccer, his goal is to give back to the game and lead through loyalty, trust, and integrity.
Lula Bauer, Executive Director stated, “Fabien Lewis brings great leadership skills, integrity and cutting-edge vision to our club and to the soccer industry.
Fabien currently holds the Federation “B” License; USSF National Youth License; and a USC/NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 1 Diploma. During his career, Fabien has served as the Head Coach & Coaching Education Instructor with the VYSA Olympic Development Program, as well as Head Coach of the Kaya Futbol Club of the Philippines Football League. While playing youth soccer, Fabien Lewis’ U-17 team in Trinidad and Tobago were FIFA Youth World Cup Qualifiers. In 2002 the team held the honor of becoming Olympic Soccer qualifiers. Fabien went on to study and play at George Mason University. His soccer career didn’t end there though. Throughout his 16 years of playing experience, he played professionally in the Philippines, Singapore, Puerto Rico, Trinidad, and the United States.
Lewis commented that “not many people can say they get to wake up and do what they love. Fortunately for me, I can lift my hand and say I continue to do what I love. I am excited to continue to work with the players, families, staff and the LMVSC community.”
